Winter Tips

Updated: Dec 1, 2020

It is so easy to fall off the wagon during the winter. The cold weather makes you want to hibernate. Holiday parties lead to over eating. Plan for both indoor AND outdoor activities this winter. Ice skating, skiing, snow boarding and sledding are fun alternatives to the gym.

When you know you wont be able to make it to your favorite gym class keep a back up DVD in your house or have a Personal Trainer write up a home workout for you.

Don't get discouraged about just shoveling snow if you get snowed in. An adult weighing 150 -200 pounds can burn 412-553 calories in a hour shoveling snow.

Stay hydrated. Always wear proper gear to keep you warm and dry.
